What is Youth Rising?
The “Youth Rising” campaign is a call to action to celebrate the strengths of young people in our community and fill the 1,500 seats in the historical Apollo theater located in Harlem. We believe the empowering of our youth to move the crowd in a space where the legacy of artistic greats once and continue to perform is life-changing and breeds a creative confidence that is the key to engaging and inspiring our young people to succeed in school. Please join us as we dedicate ourselves to filling this space and showing our youth how much their community supports and values them.
What is the Urban Arts Festival?
Urban Arts Festival is Urban Arts Partnership's annual culminating event that celebrates the positive impact arts education has on closing the achievement gap in public schools. The event serves as a platform to amplify young people’s voices by showcasing the talents of the students and communities UAP serves. Since 2007, Urban Arts Partnership has honored exceptional student work and performances from all of our participating schools across New York City. UAF brings together students, families, educators, city representatives, artists and community members from divers neighborhoods to advance the creative expression and innovative education.
